Gold Medal Literary Fiction

The Military Writers Society of America awarded Bob Every the Gold Medal in Literary Fiction for his debut novel, A Day Like Any Other, at their awards banquet in New London, Connecticut on September 16, 2023.

To win an award, the book must score well in content, style, visual (cover design and layout), and technical (conformity to the rules of grammar and the Chicago Manual of Style or AP). Then, an overall score is determined by adding the four areas for each reviewer to see if it qualifies for an award.

The lead reviewer, Nancy Panko, herself an author, said, “This wonderful story captivated me. I couldn’t put the book down and wanted more when it ended. I was on the edge of my seat, and you will be, too.”
